American wars include numerous Indian wars, the so-called French and Indian War, the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Mexican War, the Civil War, the Spanish American War, WWI, WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the first Iraq War, the Second Iraq War, and the ongoing conflict with Afghani terrorists. The occupation of the Philippines resulted in a revolt that took the lives of at least 100,000 Filipinos. The USA has intervened on several occasions in Latin America and the Caribbean. It's hard to get an accurate number of people killed (this would include American casualties). But due to the size of the two world wars, the death total is well over three million.

The last question is the most difficult to answer, as the definition of terror is political. The Jim Crow lynchings were acts of terrorism. As for Americans killed abroad by acts of terror, it's below 10,000.

I see where you're going with this, and the only war where we were totally the bad guys was the Phillippean-American war. Bet you never even heard of that war. But if you're trying to tell me Korea or Vietnam were unnecessary wars, you need to go back to school and learn why communism needed to be stopped. We don't start wars just because we get bored.

The number of Americans killed by "terror" (whatever that is) is much much smaller than those killed by auto accidents, lightning strikes, shark attacks in the Arizona desert, etc.

But of course politicians love to hype the small number of "terrorism" deaths while ignoring the much more serious problems such as global warming or drunk driving or lack of health insurance, that kill (or in the mid-range future WILL kill) thousands or more Americans.
