There's already an actress using the name Lydia Williams. (Actor unions won't let you pick a stage name that matches the name already used by another actor.) Not a fan of Lydia Marie myself.

Stage names are not about being "catchy". Kids who have a fantasy a of walking the red carpet and signing autographs look for "catchy" stage names. People serious about acting focus on training and experience. After all a director is not going to look at a resume and think - this actor has no quality training, little experience, but she has such a catchy name I'll invite her to audition. Sorry - it doesn't work like that.

Stage names are about marketing - not being catchy. There are valid reasons for choosing a stage name: to avoid union confusion, your given name is too popular/common, your name doesn't represent who you are, to protect your identity (reason why a lot of child actors choose a stage name).

If you choose a stage name it is more of a business decision. You want a name that reflects the type of actor you are. So you might want to talk with your manager or agent about a stage name. What type of person comes to mind when you think of the name "Lydia Marie"? Why do you think that name reflects you as an actor? Those are the type of questions you should be asking yourself not about what people think is "catchy". Some people think of Lydia Marie as cheap sounding - is that the image you want to give people?

In case you missed my answer to this before, here it is again.

Layla Marie sounds like a stripper.

But you have to discuss this with your agent - not ask us.

He'll have to check that your chosen stage name hasn't already been registered by anyone else.

He'll also have to like that name, as he's the one who will be marketing you.

The name being 'catchy' is totally unimportant.

I agree with Cogito. Layla Marie sounds like a stripper or porno name. Layla Williams is more professional
