Why can children work for low prices but adults can't?

In a lot of countries, there is a minimum payment.

But say that I got 1$ from my parents a day for doing chores, and I didn't like it. So I magically get money and hire a lawyer to sue my parents for slavery. Of course, the judge would laugh. But why?

I just don't understand why adults can't work for less than a specific amount but children can be forced to nearly slavery by their parents.

Update:

Why does my computer ask twice?

Ok, you get a dollar a day. Do you buy your own food? Pay for the roof over your head? Pay your own medical bills? Pay for the car and insurance? Do you pay taxes on you dollar? It is a learning experience for you to get an allowance. Not real life. What is worse, is you have more money with your allowance than most adults do.

Chores come with being part of a family, Your parents do FAR more household chores, and don't even get the $1.00 a week.

How long did you have to work to pay for the computer you're using to ask such dumb-azz questions?
