URGENT! Which cake should I bake for a friend's birthday?

Bake whichever one your friend likes best. They may not like carrot cake or banana cake. If you really have no idea what kind of cake they like I would do yellow cake with chocolate frosting because it's pretty generic.

BTW, if you do carrot or banana cake you have to make cream cheese frosting! They go together and wouldn't be right without the other

1 block Cream Cheese 8oz

4 cups Powdered sugar (confectioner's)

1/2 cup butter

1-1/2 tsps.vanilla

Cream the butter and cream cheese 1st

Then add rest of the ingredients and beat til creamy

If you do banana do mocha frosting (chocolate/coffee) . The flavor combo is amazing. If the yellow cake, put raspberry jam in the middle and cover it with a dark chocolate ganache (maybe whipped ganache) with more raspberries on top.
