Should I call the police? Harassment outside my home?

I'm watching youtube and I heard a bang on my window. I have thick curtains with so I couldn't see from where I was sitting. I didn't think to much of it so I resumed my video. I think it was about 5 minutes after I heard another bang on my window much louder. At this point my attention was focused on the window. I'm too scared to look so I paused my video and waited. Not much more than 30 seconds I heard another bang, then fallowed by screeching sounds being dragged across my window. Imagine someone putting there palm on a window and dragging it down. That's what that ******* was and sounded like It went on forever. I locked my bedroom door and whoever is messing with me succeeded in scaring the hell out of me. My front door is locked but I think I left my backdoor unlocked. I'm way too scared right now to go and do it at this point. I really want to call the cops but I'm making phone call to my dad to ask if he can come over. Should I call the cops or am I just not thinking rationally right now. I don't have any friends who are close who would go out of there way to try and scare me? If it happens one more time, I am for sure going to call the police.
