If America is "The Land of the Free" How come there were 300 Convictions for Slavery Last year. ?

    While I don't know where those numbers came from, I am aware that occasionally people are arrested on such charges, sometimes for bringing in a foreign worker, holding their passport, and forcing them to work for little or no money. Other times it could be for forced prosecution.

    When such things are discovered, the people responsible are arrested, typically convicted, and end up in jail.

    If it was the Land of the Free it would not have a larger prison population, per capita, than any other democratic nation, nor would that population be so racially disproportionate.

    If we were not "The Land of the Free", slavery would go unpunished.

    There are women in 2016 used for prostitution in the U.S., they are part of human slavery rings.

    Passport Fraud and Trafficking are serious offences as well as holding women or migrants against their will.
