Some regulation is badly needed. Cable and internet providers have stated blocking content and slowing down certain sites to save money, control customers, and try to sell more expensive video and audio services. They want to make a slow lane for everyone and then charge extra for the high speeds we get today. Right or left wing, that's a problem.
The only way the internet should be regulated is to ensure net neutrality and to make sure content providers don't start blocking/tinkering with the internet like they have been doing.
