How important are looks to people? I know kids get told that looks don't matter bullshit but how much does it really matter?

In reality, I am concerned with how I present myself for others especially when I go out in public. I'm sure everyone feels this way... I shaved this morning.. I didn't need to, but I chose to.

Does it make my looks 'important'? I don't think my appearance is 'that' important... I do not take very much time to get ready every morning, and often I just throw a hat on when I don't feel like combing my hair. I am generally more concerned about my education than looks.

Your question implies that it either matters, or doesn't... Most people who say it doesn't just don't think it matters very much.

I'll be alright with dating someone who isn't the best looker out there. But she has to at least look after herself. If that made any sense to you whatsoever.

Well count yourself lucky you're not in places such as South Korea. It'd be difficult to so much as get a job over there if you're not pretty.

It matters initially; most people wouldn't be attracted to Jabba the Hut... After getting to know someone, looks are still somewhere on the list, but, more than likely, further down.
