How good is this PC? Would you change anything about it? http://pcpartpicker.com/list/TyfKqk?

Pretty good - very similar to mine ;-) (although I got a 4th gen system, 'bout a year old by now)
What I'd change, though:
- larger SSD. Assuming you install Windows on the SSD, that one will also be used for all the programs
- dedicated CPU cooler. The boxed cooler works, ok, but I used a Cryorig C1
- more RAM, you're scraping at the minimum here - and I don't like those 'covered' RAM modules, Kingston ValueRAM works fine
- I think that case supports a full length GPU, so no need to go for the mini
- LG ultrawide (2560 x 1080) monitor, e.g. LG29UM67
- that's the lowest end keyboard/mouse combo there, basically fit to set up the computer, but not recommendable for either serious work or gaming
- Windows 10 pro isn't that much more expensive, but can save you from being the lab rat for all those buggy updates...
