What type of grammar error this sentences have? Mary ran quick from the store to the car. Dan can't help but tell everyone what to do.?

    The second sentence is actually considered perfectly acceptable by many grammar experts, but "can't help telling everyone what to do" would be preferred by some.

    In the first, you need an adverb to modify the verb "ran": "Mary ran quickly from the store...."

    The adverb 'quickly' is needed to qualify 'ran', not the adjective 'quick'.

    There is no error in the second sentence.

    It should be "quickly," the adverbial form modifying ran as opposed to the adjectival form which is what was used.
