Can someone explain to me the role of a Hare Nome in Egyptian times?
I m writing a paper for my art history class on a piece called King Menkaure, the goddess Hathor, and the deified Hare nome . I have found plenty on the king and the goddess but everything I find on the Hare Nome is vague, every other word is Egyptian so i m having difficultly understanding things. All I need to know is what it is/does preferably in english.

Think of Egypt as being divided up into small states or counties and run by an administrator.
