Why might a cell from a multicellular organism be considered more simple than that of a one celled organism?

    Cells in a multicellular organism are often specialized. Many genes are turned off and many unneeded parts are missing. Red blood cells in humans, for example, have no nucleus, no DNA and it is packed almost entirely with a single protein, hemoglobin.
