Hi Guys, I have a grammar question regarding quotation marks.?

I am registered with both the General Dental Council and the Health and Care Professions Council.

Does the two organisation in the sentence above require single, double or no quotation marks at all?

THANK YOU!!!

I also live in the UK, so UK grammar rules please.

I know you've seen signs where people have used quotation marks to emphasize words, but that's not correct. You don't use quotation marks around organization names, in British or American English.

You only use quotation marks if you are copying something that someone else has said like if you got it online for a report for example if I found this online (George Washington was the first President of the United States, the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States) I would have to quote that because I copied it so no you don't have to use quotes unless your copying.

It is NOT a quotation but a statement of facts. So NO

No marks at all. The capitalization takes care of it
