Help me with traffic ticket?

I recently got a citation of $130 because my inspection was up and was 4 moths over. Now im getting the inspection done asap but was wondering if there is any way that i could have it dismissed or lowered in court. Also what should i say to the judge because i never went to court before. I live in New Jersey if that matters

Update:

Now if i show the judge proof of the car getting inspected would that help me in way

NO your fine will not be reduced, why should it?

You are only having the vehicle inspected now because you got a ticket, otherwise you would still be driving on an expired inspection sticker.

This was not a day or two expired, this was 4 months so you knew it was WAY over due, you had no intention of getting it done until you got a ticket for it

Nothing you can or could tell the judge to get him to lower the fine, you played the game and lost

There's no reason to lower it. They might dismiss it on proof of inspection, but not likely.

    You willingly broke the law.

You knew the law, you knew your tags were invalid, you knew driving with them was wrong.

Of course you can't get your fine diminished.
