Victoria BC and Surrey 10 points!!?
I am considering moving to Victoria or Surrey BC. How would you say Victoria and Surrey are like? How is the environment/ job market, cost of living. Thanks!

Victoria has the lowest availability of rental homes in Canada and very high rents. Surrey is fine in some places and in some places is the most crime ridden part of greater Vancouver. Not quite as expensive as Victoria but not much less. Myself, I once lived in Surrey for 110 years and I can afford either. I may very well end up in Victoria.

Both are expensive to live in for what they are. Victoria appears to be well managed and beautiful while Surrey gives you this negative feeling from its criminal activity levels, though things are gradually getting better. The job market isn't particularly strong for either. Cost of living is normal excluding housing which is expensive.
