What can be used, from around the house, to replace an AM/FM radio antenna?

the signal is great when i touch the tip of where the antenna broke off. I dont have the antenna anymore though.Any help would be appreciated thank you.

    AM band has its own build in antenna inside contains a long ferrite core, just move radio to the direction where you hear the best and loud AM station.

    FM band needs to attach a piece of copper wire into the FM antenna input slot, about 3 feet long is good enough and hanging it in vertical.
