If you live in Oklahoma, 2 to 5 years depending on seriousness, but if you don't report to your own insurance in the first couple of weeks they are going to ask a lot of questions about why you took so long.

You should never have to file a claim, if the involved insurance companies find you not at fault after the investigation they will handle all that.

    With who? You didn't say.

Your insurance company thinks you should report any and all accidents to them as soon as humanly possible. And since that's a written condition in the contract you signed / accepted with them, any court of law will have to agree with them. If you report an accident to your insurance company after waiting too long, they'll ask why it took you so long. And you had better have a good reason.

Usually 72 hours (three days), as far as your insurance company is concerned. If you wait longer than that they can deny your claim. Check your policy's paperwork.

Notify your insurance company as soon as possible but you probably have up to 2 years. The longer you wait, the more suspect it may be.

Accident? Always call the police to the scene and then immediately notify YOUR insurance company. Always !

We don't know where you live and what insurance you have. So I guess you should read your policy.
