Car over the weekend in the mechanic's shop,?
Went in at 94,000 miles, we picked it up 3 days later and it had 97,699 miles on it. I'm in disbelief. What should I do, I know I need to talk to them, terrified.

I'm with CB. The car would have had to be averaging 51.37 mph for the whole 3 days to clock up that many miles (not counting gas stops and driver changes etc)
So either the mechanics have spend the WHOLE weekend joyriding, or something is wrong with your records.

Assuming the car was out of your possession for 3 full days the car would have to have been driving at 51mph for EVERY hour of every day to put on that kind of mileage. I don't see how that is possible. On a long trip running @ 70mph, with gas, food and piss stops you are lucky to maintain 55mph average. I think someone wrote down the beginning odometer reading incorrectly.

Why did you check the odometer 4 times?
Just looking at your previous questions I'd have to say your judgement is somewhat clouded - just sayin'

if you look at the invoice/estimate that you received for the vehicle before you left, the mileage of the vehicle should have been written on that document....if the mechanic did not write the mileage, then there's nothing you can do - this time - as you have no proof
