This is a land mine. He is your EX for a reason. You control this situation. I'm not going to tell you not to do it because if you are confident in yourself, and your truly over him then this is fine if you like having the past near you. I'm going to tell you to do it, because you have history that could cause ripples in the 3-some of your friendship. I will say to do this. Tell each party you need some time, and ask them do you really want this. Ultimately it's your call...Remember that.
