our cable bill has gotten extremely expensive. Am considering keeping internet only. Has anyone tried Sling tv and how would you rate it?

    Sling is not a replacement for cable.

    Before you cut the cable - call your cable company and reduce your packages to "Basic". They will argue, but stay firm. Basic is about $35/month in most areas.

    A friend of mine (not me!) has Sling.

    It's no better than anything else in any sense,

    and if your infernalnet service isn't fast enough,

    it will glitch the picture and mute the audio fairly often.

    I wouldn't want it myself.
