Ryan Matthews or Chris Ivory?

Matthews is typically my RB2, and is a pretty decent option for a 20-team league. The problem is that he has a tough matchup against the Vikings this week.

Ivory finally found his way to the end zone last week, but hasn't done much else at all this year. I feel like he's due for a big game, and it could come this week against a poor Raiders defense.

I feel like both guys are sort of "touchdown or bust" this week, I just don't know who I trust more to get into the endzone. Any opinions?

Oakland has allowed the 4th most fantasy points to RBs. Ivory got 11 carries to Yeldon's 6 in last week's game with two catches and did get the score. The Vikings have allowed the 9th fewest fantasy points to RBs. The safer play is Ivory this week.

Your question proves why matchups are so important for the vast majority of non-elite players. Mathews is a no-go in this one. It should play out similar to their game vs the Redskins, where it turned into a 4 way committee. The Vikings are more vulnerable to pass catching RBs, and that means if anyone gets started from that group, it would be Sproles. Also, game flow works against him.

Ivory doesn't play as many snaps as Powell, but he gets more carries (this is a strange running game). But gameflow is a positive in this one, since both teams have fairly healthy offenses and suspect defenses. If they get near the goal line, Ivory will get the carry.
