iPhone is NOT blacklisted, but cannot be activated?
I recently bought an iPhone and I m having trouble activating it. The IMEI isn t blacklisted, but I can t get any service on the phone. I believe the phone was under contract and the previous owner neglected to pay their bill. Is there anything I can do? The phone is Verizon, if that makes a difference.
3 AnswersCell Phones & Plans4 years agoCan someone drop off Penske truck that didn t pick it up?
So I m moving from one state to another and I m using a Penske truck. But I got my license stolen recently and it s an out of state license, I already put in for a replacement but it could take up to 4 weeks to get here and I m moving in a week. I was thinking I could find someone to pick up the truck for me, but they wouldn t be the ones dropping it off. So I was wondering what Penske would do if someone dropped off the truck without their name on file. Or any suggestions in helping me out.
6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs4 years agoWhy do athletes never help up people they knock over on the sidelines?
I've seen women, elderly people, even disabled people get knocked over on the sidelines of football and basketball games and 99 percent of the time, the athletes just walk away. I understand they are in a rush to get back out there, but it only takes a second to extend a hand and help up the unsuspecting person you just knocked over. I couldn't imagine under any circumstances not assisting someone I just knocked over back to their feet.
2 AnswersFootball (American)4 years agoFantasy football trade?
I was offered Matt Jones and Jeremy Kerley for Ryan Mathews and Allen Hurns.
Mathews lack of touches is a little worrisome, but he he'S as good a bet as any to score a TD. Hurns has started a little slow but is coming off of his best fantasy output of the season and Jacksonville firing their OC could light a fire under the offense.
Matt Jones has had some injury concerns and Robert Kelley ran pretty well in his place, so he could lose some touches. Kerley has been essentially a non factor since Kaepernick took over, but played pretty well early in the season.
I am deeper at receiver than running back so I'm really contemplating this offer. What do you think?
6 AnswersFootball (American)5 years agoWords With Friends scoring help?
I'm new to the game, my fiancé introduced me to it and now I'm hooked. Can someone please explain how my opponent scored 65 points for the word "cowages"? It's a 15-point word and he use a "DW" title, which should have made the word worth thirty points. Am I missing something here?
1 AnswerWords & Wordplay5 years agoRyan Matthews or Chris Ivory?
Matthews is typically my RB2, and is a pretty decent option for a 20-team league. The problem is that he has a tough matchup against the Vikings this week.
Ivory finally found his way to the end zone last week, but hasn't done much else at all this year. I feel like he's due for a big game, and it could come this week against a poor Raiders defense.
I feel like both guys are sort of "touchdown or bust" this week, I just don't know who I trust more to get into the endzone. Any opinions?
2 AnswersFantasy Sports5 years agoMike Thomas or Quincy Enunwa?
20-team league. Sammie Coates is out and these two are the only ones on my bench. Thomas plays the Panthers, Enunwa has the Cardinals tomorrow night.
1 AnswerFantasy Sports5 years agoChristine Michael for Alshon Jeffery?
Should I trade Michael for Jeffery? I feel like I'd be getting a better value, but I'm a little light on good backs. Is it worth it?
3 AnswersFantasy Sports5 years agoWould I be crazy not to start an RB?
I'm playing in a 20 team league and I'm very happy with my roster. I am a little banged up and the victim of some untimely byes this week, and I only have one RB that will be active. I'm projected to lose by two points if I leave the RB2 slot unoccupied.
My roster:
QB: Matthew Stafford
RB1: Ryan Matthews
RB2: Doug Martin (doubtful to play)
WR1: Emmanuel Sanders
WR2: Tyrell Williams
TE: Clive Walford
Flex: Sammie Coates
D/ST: Cowboys
K: Caleb Sturgis
Bench:
Allen Hurns (bye)
Michael Thomas (bye)
Christine Michael (bye)
Chris Ivory (bye)
Quincy Enunwa
Sam Bradford
Jeremy Langford (doubtful to play)
The only available RBs in my league are pictured. I don't feel confident that any of those guys will produce. What should I do?
3 AnswersFantasy Sports5 years agoFantasy Football Trade?
I got offered Emmanuel Sanders in exchange for Terrelle Pryor.
Pryor is Cleveland's entire offense, but Sanders has been a much more consistent player and has proven to be valuable. I'm torn a whether or not I should accept. Any advise?
3 AnswersFantasy Sports5 years agoGrammar help?
I'm searching for a word that means "military-like", as in "my boss runs a very serious, "military-like" office."
I'm not sure if "militaristic" would work, as that usually pertains to actual focus on a military, as to where I'm just trying to embody the strictness and structure of the military in an everyday setting.
I also considered "militarian" which seems to have some definitions that are similar to what I'm looking for, but isn't actually in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. I don't want to use a word that isn't universally accepted.
Should I go with either of those words or is there another word that I'm completely missing that fits into what I'm trying to convey?
3 AnswersWords & Wordplay5 years agoAbsentee father trying to make things right?
My son was born when I was 16 years old. I moved about six months after he was born, halfway across the country. My family fell on hard times financially and moved to be closer to family. The original plan was for the two of them to move out there with me and for us to be a big happy family. Well that fell through. Things didn't go according to plan, I couldn't afford to move them and we ultimately broke up. I lost contact and as terrible as it sounds, sort of moved on. However, I think about my son on a daily basis and how I was going to ultimately make things right.
Well, I recently got back in contact with his mother and she is willing to work with me. She is willing to keep the past in the past, as am I. I'm still living 1000 miles away, so my first step is saving up enough money to move back. I have a life now with a fiancé and bills to pay. My fiancé is on board with moving, so it's really just the financial aspect of things. But my question is how do I build trust with my ex and a relationship with my son. He's now four years old and doesn't know who I am. She's agreed to let me talk to him on the phone in a few weeks, since I won't be able to move for awhile. I'm great with kids, I'm currently raising my fiancés niece.
I just want to know how to go about making up for years of lost time. How do I get to know him personally? How do I explain to him where I have been? I want to just jump right in, but I know that I can't do that. So any advice would be appreciated.
5 AnswersFamily5 years agoThoughts on why some people "hate sports"?
I promise to try not to turn this into a rant. It's just something I've never been able to fully grasp. As a avid sports fan, I'm just looking for a little perspective here. To me, sports are not unlike music and movies, they are all just forms of entertainment. Rarely will you here someone who says something about hating all music or movies. Obviously, people have preferences, and will say things like "I hate rap music" or "horror movies are terrible" but you do not often find people tossing around such blanket statements like "I hate music". So I wouldn't think twice about doing the same with sports, such as "baseball is boring" or "football confuses me", but to just group all sports together just doesn't seem right.
I understand people thinking that athletes are overpaid or cocky, but I would say the same could be applied to musicians and actors, but like professional athletes, those individuals are immensely talented and have mastered their craft. So why is it that so many people can just group all athletics together and just say that they don't like any of them? Any thoughts?
5 AnswersOther - Sports5 years agoAre these legitimate request for claiming prizes?
My fiancé just received an e-mail from GSN (Game Show Network) claiming the she had won a prize from their new game show Winsanity. It was something that she did actually sign up for, and the show does give away prizes. They game a phone number which is affiliated with GSN, but they are asking for a W-9 tax form and a signed affidavit to be submitted to them within 72 hours or she will forfeit her prize. Obviously these forms contain very sensitive information and I'm trying to make sure she isn't putting herself at risk for identity theft or any other same. Does anyone, preferably with legal knowledge, know if this sounds legit?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics5 years agoWhy do people give their children "baby names"?
I feel like a lot of new parents, mainly Millennials, aren't looking out for their children's future when they make them. Everyone think about what's "cute", but they're not thinking about their child in adulthood. If your son is applying for a job in which he has to be taken seriously, little Ryder or baby Bentley may have some trouble. I think people really need to think about their child's future. Sure, your baby will have a "cute" name when they're young, but that baby is going to be an adult one day and they're going to be stuck with a "baby name." Your child's name is not some sort of accessory, it's something that should still make sense in fifty years.

2 AnswersPolls & Surveys7 years agoShould Yahoo Answers get rid of the "thumbs down"?
I feel like the should just have a "like" or "rec" button like some other sights. I think people are immature and just go around giving random answers "thumbs down" as some dumb form of trolling, it really doesn't make any sense, and it's pretty annoying, honestly. It doesn't matter how thorough or thought out your answer is, some jerk is just going to give you a "thumbs down"for no reason at all. There is really no point in having it as a feature. What do you think?
10 AnswersYahoo Answers7 years agoLarge T-shirts are too short, extra large are too big?
I'm a guy, I'm 6'5" and pretty slim. I have a big problem buying T-shirts, because large shirts are too short on me, but fit me well, otherwise. Extra large shirts, on the other hand, are super baggy. It's so frustrating, because it seems like I'm the only guy I know with this problem. Does anyone else have this problem or any solutions?
