Will adding ram void my warranty at Best Buy?
I got a laptop at Best Buy and I wanted to add some extra ram but I'm worried it will void the warranty. Will it?

Hello! If you were to do it yourself then it would void the warranty, however Geek Squad/Best Buy protection plans on laptops cover us installing memory for you and you would just pay the price of the RAM. Best of luck!

No! Removing the parts it came with and changing the laptops non plugin devices could possibly void the warranty but ram is a plug in

Sadly, yes. Under the terms of warranty, any sort of tampering or opening of the device renders it void.

Read the warranty contract.
