If Democrats claim that Wikileaks have been Doctored, why don't they produce the original e-mails?

That's a legitimate point. But we learned today that all of the emails from Podesta's server were sent using a public key system in which a unique code number is generated using the content of the original message and the server from which it was sent. If the message is intercepted or altered in any way, then the code number is invalid, and the recipient is alerted. That means anyone with a copy of the software can run the number of each email through the program to determine whether the email was altered before being posted on the Wikileaks website. They (an independent tech firm) has been checking the emails one by one over the last few days, and so far they have not found a single email that was altered. Representatives of the tech firm said that the only way someone could generate a valid number is if they had direct access to the original laptop (which, in most cases, belonged to Hillary Clinton).

It wouldn't matter.

E-mails in a dump like this are trivially easy to alter. If the Democratic Party released an e-mail that directly contradicted one from Putin & WikiLeaks, and claimed that Putin faked the dump to support Trump, Trump supporters would claim that the Democratic Party faked the contradictory version they've just presented.

Nobody would ever be sure which version was fake and which was accurate.

So there's no point to it.

So far, None have been found doctored.

Validating Wikileaks Emails

DKIM is a system designed to stop spam. It works by verifying the sender of the email. Moreover, as a side effect, it verifies that the email has not been altered.
