Will this scissor jack be okay to use?

Update:

I have a car that weighs 980kg but the scissor jack I bought has a safety recommendation is only 1000kg, will it be safe to use if I get a flat tire or need to replace a tire?

# like I'm only will be using it to lift one of four corners of the car at a time, so in theory, I'm not actually lifting the whole car but just about a third of the car weight!

## So the main question is will it be safe or not?

for changing a tire, its just fine. do not get under the car. once you get the old wheel off, you slide it under the car until you're done putting the new one on. The wheel underneath will protect the car from hitting the ground if the jack gives out.

you're doing a corner, not the whole car. the whole weight of the car is not on the jack. scissor jack comes standard in the trunk of every car nowdays.

Scissor jacks suck. You can get a trolley jack very inexpensively these days; the cheap ones won't lift a bus or semi but can easily handle anything those infernal scissor jacks can and they are much easier to use.

Update: Those things are usually rated at a deal less than they can handle and you won't be lifting the entire car, just one side of it. It should be safe.
