    2x^3 + 12x^2 + 24x + 20

    = 2(x^3 + 6x^2 + 12x + 10)

    = 2(x^3 +6x^2 + 12x + 8 + 2)

    = 2(x+2)^3 + 4

You have the 0.5 inside the ( )^3 which is wrong.

    4(0.5(x+2))^3 + 4

    = 4(1/8)(x+2)^3 + 4

    = (1/2)(x+2)^3 + 4

I don't know how you got the 4 and 0.5 in front, but if they were together, you would have the correct answer. But somehow the 0.5 is cubed, which is what is throwing it off.
