why are deliberate obnoxious comments aloud on answers and not genuine inoffensive debatable questions ?

It's from some users who raise their self esteem by reporting who they hate

and may be jealous of. The system here never was fair and has gotten worse.

There are a lot of rules nazis out there who report report report ANY question or answer that so much as glances casually in an off-topic or trollish direction. If it doesn't meet Yahoo's rules BY. THE. LETTER. it gets reported. They also often get successfully appealed. Some sections have this worse than others, but it's a general Yahoo Answers thing.

There are also just sad, pathetic, petty people out there who single out random strangers on the internet that they "hate" and report everything. That's why a lot of people post anonymously even when they obviously aren't trolling.

These people usually miss the comments altogether. I don't notice many of my comments getting reported, my answers almost never get reported, but most of my questions are reported pretty f*cking quick. Usually I can appeal them but I just re-ask them instead.

'Allowed', not "aloud"

Aloud means 'out loud' or 'spoken'.

This website is largely run automatically and probably has a handful of administrators catching people breaking the rules.

Trolls very easily learn how to get around the automated system and the rest is just numbers.
