I have a legal question about the Freedom of Information Act.?

If I wanted to find out if the police, FBI or any other government agency has information on me on file, how would I go about finding out.

    The Freedom of Information Act ( FOIA ) gives you the right to access recorded information held by public sector organisations. Anyone can request information

    For your request to be dealt with according to the Freedom of Information Act, you must:

    contact the relevant authority directly;

    make the request in writing, for example in a letter or an email.

    give your real name; and

    give an address to which the authority can reply. This can be a postal or email address.

    You may be charged an administration fee to cover the costs of time and sending, which they will tell you about

    Make a request to that agency.

    It should not be a secret and if it is it has to be declared so before a judge.

    I was a former convicted felon. and beat my rap. But you cant drink Hennessy and roll back off the rock. It doesn't work that way, but if you keep the positive crazy dreams then you have a shot

    File a FOIA request with each organization.
