When you have a Chevy truck that had front end damage and can not get either driver side or passenger side doors to unlatch what is the trick to getting the door to open.

I have a 95 2-door Chevy Tahoe. I hit a gua rd rail on passenger side. This messed up the fender, door. Getting the door off is my problem. It was moved back about 2 inches. I have removed the pins on door hinges. Now door is hung up on the post that it latches on when closed. I have cut a hole in door skin exposing the door mechanism but do not know how to unlatch it. How do I get it off.

After changing pitman arm, and put steering column back together the steering wheel is off by 1/4 turn. Pitman arm was marked and new one placed correctly. What else could cause this. What is the fix?
