Should I be trying to entertain my Betta fish or just leaving him alone?

Please help.

    You can provide lots of silk or live plants and caves for him to explore and twine through. Given a heavily decorated tank, he should be able to entertain himself.

    If you really want, you could try putting in a ping pong ball. Some Bettas will push them around, but others will ignore the ball.

    Other than that, he's best left to himself.

    How big of a tank do you have? They say betas can have a one gallon tank, but really they prefer more swimming room than that. I don't think you need to entertain him, I leave my beta all day when I'm at school.
