Why did GOD make it IMPOSSIBLE for HUMANITY to save ourselves?

I'm not saying we're Gods to save ourselves but why is it that we could only be saved by grace?

Only by accepting Jesus Christ as our saviour. Which I have nothing against. But I'm trying to understand why did God create humans if he knew from the beginning we wouldn't be able to make it to his presence from the beginning?

If Adam and Eve wouldn't have eaten that apple, would that have changed things?

You say 2 things that contradict Jesus and 2 more illogical things !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1) St Paul says we have all RATIFIED the sin of Adam and Eve by our own sins. I doubt you will disagree with that.

    2) Jesus' coming was not predicated on the Crucifixion !!! What a terrible view you have. Hear the Pope on that

    BENEDICT XVI

    GENERAL AUDIENCE

    Paul VI Hall

    Wednesday, 7 July 2010

"...the Incarnation is the greatest and most beautiful work of the entire history of salvation, that it is not conditioned by any contingent fact but is God's original idea of ultimately uniting with himself the whole of creation, in the Person and Flesh of the Son."

    3) It is possible to save ourselves in that salvation is not automatic, at least not for Catholics, You can't earn Heaven but you can earn Hell

    4) HE truly knew but that influenced nothing, what you are denying is that Adam and Eve really sinned.

    Most need help --

'Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”'

He came to save those of us that are sinners, which is....very many of us, or even all at some point in our lives.

Eve fell to the temptation when the serpent made out that God had lied to her -- then she trusted the serpent over God.

So, she stopped trusting God. That's the real fall in the "Fall".

If here and now, a person really trusts God, they are doing a key step back in the right direction. Through Christ, they can be fully redeemed.

  • Yes, if Adam and Eve had not sinned, we may not exist. God had told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth, that means God has a predetermined number of people that would constitute the earth being filled. Considering the number of people born since the beginning of man, the earth may have been filled before we were born. Imperfect man can not save himself.

To be perfectly honest, I believe it is just God wanting people to believe in him and in turn go to Heaven. God might have an inferiority complex, I don't know.

I'm just amazed that anyone actually believes all that nonsense.

Isn't it blindingly obvious that religion is all just fiction?

    It simply doesn't make sense.

It's all just a bunch of very silly, contradictory, far-fetched fiction.

Because the law and justice of our creator God, requires a perfect and righteous sacrifice for the sins of man, and only Jesus Christ matches up to the requirements. He is the perfect and final blood sacrifice for our sins, once for all. For all who would accept Him that is. So yes He does call for our repentance in response to His salvation by His grace=free gift. Repentance = to turn to God and away from sins. So salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus alone.

We had free will from the beginning and chose to follow the sinners way. We still have free will and most still choose the broad way of sin, rather than to follow Christ the narrow way of salvation.

He is the way out of judgement for us. He is the way. If He made it possible for us to save ourselves, then all could boast that we got to heaven by our own good works.

He is our Father in heaven. He wants us to ask Him for help, guidance, protection and most of all love. He doesn't interfere with our free will. But, if anyone, including satan, thinks they are better able to do God's job, they are going to fail. That's just that.

actually, the bible verse does say it: "Save yourselves" from this ungodly world...

but then he gave us the atonement of Jesus Christ. that's how we save ourselves by accepting his propitiation and coming to his judgment and fulfilling his standards of righteousness.

Yes we all "fall short" but there are several ways Jesus knows how to save us and bring us to justification

His other gospel message of Remission of Sins! the sanctification process of the mission of the Holy Ghost ! to cleanse us !
