Medicare question?

My husband wants to retire at age 62. He was born Oct of 1955. Heis normal retirement will be at age 66 and 6 months. Will medicare/medicade cover him at 62

    He can retire at whatever age he wants. The problem is he might need to wait til he is 70 before he can collect Social Security and Medicare! They are revising the retirement age all the time and I just heard it is now 70! But if you have sufficient savings other than SS you can retire officially, not work, at any age you choose.

    We answered you already. You must be 65 to enroll in Medicare unless he is disabled. If you are low income and live in certain states he can be covered by Medicaid if he is low income and not disabled and not 65.

    Have no idea why this is under Diabetes but he is diabetic. LOL
