My girlfriend of 4 years recently left saying no chance of reconciliation but now says she needs time to think, 1-2 weeks?

My long-time girlfriend and I have a son together. The son may not be mine, but I do not care. He does look a lot like me, but one of those knock off at home DNA tests says he isn't mine. Anyway, when we would fight about something and I would get really mad I would call her ugly names, and she felt like I didn't spend enough time with her and our son. She has even made it out when I say that I want to be apart of his life, like I haven't been apart of his life at all despite providing for them and making sure he had everything he needs. She says that she needs time to think. I just stopped yesterday with calling, texting and driving by the house where she is staying (at her moms). She has kept all the flowers, cards and letters that I send. She said right now (saw her yesterday when I stopped by trying to see my son) that right now she is thinking she doesn't want to try and she finds it hard to believe that I am changing my ways when I won't respect her wishes and not contact her and let her think. I do know she still loves me and cares, otherwise she would not keep the cards, flowers and letters I have sent. I know there is no other man, she isn't like that. When she got pregnant was when we first met, and our sons due date was exactly 9 months on the button from the night we slept together. But we both had been told by doctors that we could not have kids. Sound like she will be back? I have faith and believe she will be.
