My analysis of the election?

A lot of mixed emotions today. I don't think Trump ever demonstrated that he understood the office of the president. At this point though, I want him to be very successful, just like I wanted Obama to be successful when he won the first time. A successful president means a Successful USA.

But I'm VERY happy Hillary Clinton will be denied the Presidency. Her arrogant sense of entitlement always rubbed me the wrong way. And it was that sense of entitlement that prevented her from ever formulating an effective message to the American people.

Her de facto message was "More of the same!" when the Sanders supporters were a VERY strong indication that very FEW people, even in the Democratic party, wanted more of the same.

Her hubris created a situation where the only option for the American people who wanted change, was Donald Trump. They felt they had better take this chance because if this uprising failed, the political class would tighten down the controls and further efforts at change would be impossible.

Obama's increasing politicization of the DOJ, and the IRS would only accelerate under a Hillary Clinton administration. And frankly, that scared the **** out of me.

In the end, I held my nose and voted for Trump. I was not happy with my choices, but the bruised apples I was given only allowed for applesauce.

Well spoken. I'll tell you what else scared the living bejesus out of me. Obama saying that the US would have to give up some of its sovereignty to fulfil the UN mission. I did not want to see Hillary following in those footsteps. Then the whole situation with the FBI dropping everything right before election day. It was a little too scary for me and I don't want someone with that much influence and power leading my country. Hope for the best. I think a Hillary presidency would have been worse

IF you are a small business owner or self employed, you just voted against a $3500 insurance premium increase.

IF you have ever been AUDITED by the IRS for NO REASON, you will be looking at a simplification of the tax code that effectively reduces your chances of such a thing because there will be only 3 brackets instead of a graduated system with all kinds of loopholes.

You see, TRUMP has no experience in presidential office but understands what happens if a broken system is left to thrive. At the IRS, DOJ and Veterans Admin, he's going to be saying "You're Fired" to a lot of people. I truly believe he is going to drain or at least pave over the swamp that is D.C.

I think you are dead-on. Trump likely would have won had he run as a Democrat as well. People just wanted a fundamental change. Obama promised it, but was even more cloaked vs. transparent from the day he took office.

I, too, reluctantly voted for Trump. We just couldn't have recovered from Hillary. Trump is a smart guy. I think he can become presidential, while still being his own man. You can see he started last night. We can only hope at this point.
