Mandarin pronunciation help needed.?

Hello everyone. Would be very grateful if somebody explains me the difference between “ng” and “n” in Chinese language.

I know that sometimes it changes or adds a vowel, but what about the “ng” sound itself? Is it the same as English “ng”? Can’t hear the difference at all…

Yes, it's the same as the English "ng" as in the word "eating" (NOT as in the word "angry," which has an extra "g" sound after the "ng" sound).
