Has Trump said that he would Abolish same sex marriage?

I"m only interesten in what came out of his mouth, not what MSNBC news said... I hope he leaves it alone Liberals on my facebook are flipping out so I hope its not true.

    Trump doesn't have the authority to do that. My goodness people, did anyone pay attention to separation of powers in Civics class? Trump was always going to appoint a more conservative judge that would lean more twds states rights than federal power. If another court case came up that could reverse the previous gay marriage right decision, then perhaps the court might reverse the decision and let the issue go back to the states (where, imo, it Constitutionally belongs). The President, however, has no direct authority on that ruling.

    I wonder how many people actually get that reversing decisions like gay marriage rights and abortion rights, doesn't by default take it away. It just reverts the issue back to the states, where the overwhelming majority of power should be held.

    No, but he did say he'd consider returning it back to the states.

    Liberals keep saying they're all about the will of the people.

    I don't think he has the rights to do that. He even said he was trying to protect the the LGBTQ+ community from the hands of terrorism.
