What are the chances of my being approved to move to Canada?

I graduated from a medical assistant program looking for a job in health care preferably. I have worked in retail and customer service for years? I am from USA.

CHANCES low . You would need very good work experience in a specialized area of this for a good chance.

medical assistant???? IS what REALLY ?

In Canada, medical assistants typically complete an educational program that prepares them to perform special assisting and secretarial duties for physicians, dentists, nurses, health care facilities, and other health service providers. Instructional programs include courses in business and medical communications, medical terminology, principles of health care operations, public relations and interpersonal communications, software applications, record-keeping and filing systems, scheduling and meeting planning, policies and regulations, and professional standards and ethics.

Could you try to be a little more specific. The Job Title is rather broad and meaningless for the purpose of immigration.

Very Difficult for Immigration at an entry level position. You will need to investigate if a particular province is in need of outside applicants to fill positions. These types of jobs are under provincial jurisdiction.

Medical Assistants do a variety of things and work in a variety of health settings such as hospitals, doctor's office, nursing home, home health care, labs, urgent care, etc.

Examples of things a MA does:

Front office such as medical receptionist, scheduling, insurance, typing, computers, records, answer phones, paging, etc. Have to prioritize appointments, visits, and calls.

Back office such as drawing blood, run lab test (blood, urine, etc), take patient vitals (blood preasure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, and weight), give shots and vaccinations. Preparing exam, surgical, or lab rooms. Explaining and helping with procedures. Educate patients and families. They must graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program and pass the certification test.

Almost none. What is a "medical assistant?" We do not have those in Canada, so, we do not need them.
