Why are silent hill characters so calm?
So I was watching some silent hill let's plays and something I noticed is that the characters don't seem to phased by the horrible flesh and nightmare abominations attacking them, sure they sometimes freak out a bit but other than that the protagonists don't seem to really be horrified by them

If they did react how someone would in reality, it probably wouldn't even be a silent hill game anymore.
