I accidentally over paid my most recent credit card bill.
Will this have a negative effect on my credit score?
It was an accident. Should I call the credit card company and explain?
I recently switched to a new bank and I pay online. When I paid, no activity showed online and I didn't get an email saying there was activity for 3 days. So after those 3 days, I decided to pay again. Now, I realize there are two payments on my statement and my balance is negative because I paid too much.
What can I do about this?

If you paid more than you owed, then your account has a credit. This credit will be applied, first, to your existing balance. If you are caught up, then your account will show a credit. This credit will be applied to future charges if you say nothing, but you can request a refund of the overpayment.
Paying too much never hurts your credit score.

No. You'll simply have a credit showing on your next statement. It has no effect on your credit score.
