No, butter is fat. Fat actually is an 'anti-carb'. If you eat a big meal with lots of fat and protein, it slows your absorption of carbs so they don't affect you as much. Diabetics call this 'the pizza effect'--the fat and protein in pizza makes the crust affect your blood sugar much less!

no, it is a fat but once you put too much on, you will experience a dramatic change in calories
