How much hair is supposed to come out when I brush it ? I'm a male if that helps?

20-40 hairs can be normal.

you only have to worry if it comes out in clumps, your hair is thinning or you notice patch's or thin spots.

if you have long hair, you will notice the hair that drops out naturally more then if you had short hair.

i'm a guy, with long hair, the amount of hair that drops out i could fill a pillow in a month, it seems like a huge amount, but it's not.
