2006 mercedes r500?

Update:

It has 4 corner air ride. It has a new compressor and a new block valve. The compressor will not start and the few times it does start it turns the engine off. I know it starts and stops at different times and what the system is suppose to do. The relay was changed also. Why would the compressor not start and then if it does turn the engine off?

Update 2:

it holds air and does not leak and it does not automatic level when you get out

Update 3:

and there are no codes

Update 4:

well three useless answers may ill get number 4 tomorrow i dont care about you personal feelings if you dont know dont answer

Update 5:

like my friend who took his to the dealer and spent 2000 and it was still broken........ i just put this question on here about the problem hoping some one who had the problem would read it and know some thing about it. i only want a answer not a opinion about the car or what you think i should do. i understand how complicated these cars are

  • I'm not trying to dodge the question, but Airmatic is notoriously complex to diagnose, and on a ten-year-old car just about any component of the system can easily have failed. In any case, without seeing it's not even worth hazarding a guess. If you want more meaningful guesses/opinions you're better off trying some of the dedicated MB owners' forums like MBWorld or MBClub, there are some very experienced people hanging out there (unlike here on Y!A where you mostly get people saying 'poop'). But at the end of the day you will have to take it to a MB specialist, franchised dealer or a good indy, to get it sorted, I don't think there's any way around that.

I had a 2006 R 350 I replaced all the bags myself, The dealer wanted 10k to replace the bags. I did it for under 2200. made by continental. also had the pump replaced it would run all the time burned out. after that I had no air bag suspension issues. But I did have a solenoid that was faulty and dealer could not fix rough idle no pickup turn engine off restart and fine. every few days would not start till sat for over 4 hours, I have owned 3 Benz in past e 320 s 500 and the r 350. I will never buy another one. Quality is bad now.

Not even Mercedes dealers want to see R-Classes; you may be absolutely certain that no R-Class expert wanders through this hall.
