Wife has already hand made her Christmas cards (Real works of art that she puts her soul into! She worked on them for more than a month.) and has all of her decorations ready to be put up as soon as Thanksgiving's decorations come down. Merry Christmas IS acceptable language around my yard! Being a realist, while I am hoping for a Christmas peace to descend upon the world, I am also asking Santa to bring me extra ammunition!

Well I converted from Christianity to Islam and I use to celebrate Christmas but I don't anymore. I don't miss it though it was a waste of money. In Islam for the first Eid you have to fast for a whole month and give some money to charity and second Eid you also need to give to charity and slaughter a sheep. Half goes to the poor and the other half you eat. For both Eids I always treat myself to a new outfit and go to the salon. I also just by one present each for friends and family. I make homemade sweets and other treats for the kids. All in all I save more money than I did for Christmas.

Can look forward even keeping all the scary things in mind, unless they are on your doorstep. What about in-laws? You forgot to list them.
