TV Commercials ?
Are you as tired of tv commercials as I am ? It seems there's more commercial than show on some shows. Over 1/2 of the Big Bang Theory is nothing but one commercial after another You now have time to go to the washroom and clean the house and wash the dishes while the commercials are on . What do you think ? Has it gone too far ?

No matter how much or how little the actors are paid there will always be commercials. The reason is simple, the show needs advertisers to pay for the air time. Whether it is a 30 minute or 60 minute show half of the time will be filled with ads. We have DVR's so we can record our favorite shows and watch them when we want, or just pause the TV for a few minutes while you do the things you need to do and still watch the show commercial free.

all tv programs even all the major networks abc cbs and nbc are f'cking ate up with commercials. they tell you about 5 minutes of news then show you about that long of commercials then when the damn news comes back on your waiting to here them talk about what they said was going to be next after the break and they don't f'cking tell you. and all tv programming is all timed now so forget about channel checking cause there all doing commercials at the same time. Hate them

Broadcasters gotta earn their money somewhere. I hate that they play the commercials way louder than the shows themselves, it's always a mad scramble for the remote whenever the ads come on or I get blasted by a wave of loud, obnoxious noise.
You should watch that episode of Black Mirror about the pop idol thing in season 1. They've got some interesting ideas on what advertising will be like in the future.

I agree. Part of is that commercials are much shorter than they used to be, so there are more of them, though they don't always take up more time. I also hate it when they show the same ones over and over on the same show.

You are right. That said, there would not be commercial TV without them

Yes. But consider this. I'm BBT there is an ensemble cast of stars. They all get outrageous salaries. How else can the network afford to keep the shows in the air?
