Is it in the drug companies' best interests to just manage a disease by treating symptoms rather than going all out to find an actual cure?

Absolutely! Just imagine that you were cured - they would be out of business. Cough drops dry out the throat, meaning you need to take more cough drops.. Drugs treat symptoms. They don't get to the root cause of the problem. For example, give insulin to people with diabetes, and never let them know it can be CURED by diet. Give cholesterol lowering drugs to a person with high cholesterol and never let them know that again, DIET would fix the problem - that by avoiding junk food and sugar, the cholesterol would lower naturally. It's all so disgusting and such a racket. I avoid drugs as much as possible and always search for the natural cures to everything.
