Why can't I totally eradicate One Drive from my computer?

Every time I go to save a Word document, One Drive is shaded and wants to be first. I want documents to be primary always and One Drive to be removed as it is Microsofts idea that I save my business to "The Cloud!"

OneDrive is completely integrated with Office and cannot be removed. It's phenomenally useful when you work across multiple devices and acts as a safeguard in case your physical machine crashes with no opportunity for recovery. Saving stuff to the cloud is actually a smart idea. If you don't want to have your stuff available across devices and available for recovery in the event your computer crashes and cannot be recovered (which means you lose your files) then simply choose the option to save locally instead of to OneDrive.
