Well I'm in middle school , and lately I think a boy just talks to me a lot. He always compliments me on my work, he asks me about stupid little things like why do I have my phone light so low and things like that, and even one time talked to my 2 freinds in fron of me ( is that a sign ?). A few days ago he aproched me at lumch and thanked me for a work I helped him on, he kind of seemed nervous but he said it very politly and very nicely. But in class he never looks at me

Please don't over think this situation. Your problem is nothing major. It happens everywhere between 2 different genders. He probably blushes, because you're the opposite sex of him, or he's just too shy to make new friends, easily. You can search it up on Google or Youtube to show further acts, if someone likes you or not. I'm sorry if I disappointed you, but I speak truth. You are still in middle school, is nothing too serious. And make sure not to ask him about it,right off the bet. Your Welcome~~

He's probably just trying to be a friend. Trust me, don't overthink this. Focus on school work and friendships. You're in middle school, you have plenty of time to form a relationship later on, if not now.
