What stopped the Ottomans from invading British Egypt in World War 1?

Was it overstretched supply lines? Was it lack of manpower? Was it lack of armour support? I am very interested to know why they didn't try to invade Egypt from 1915 onwards.

Nobody had a significant armoured support in 1915, the best they could manage was an armoured car (and it is doubtful the Turks ever had many of those).

But the main reason was that there were British and Empire troops in the way, alongside Arab irregular forces. And of course the Russians were applying pressure to the north.

My guess would be logistics. If you invade Egypt with an army, you have to support that army somehow.
