OK, here we go sweetheart :)
The area bounded between these curves is NOT an integer!
We need to find points of intersection first. The curves intersect at (0, 0) and (1, 1). The limits will therefore be 0 to 1.
A = ∫ [x^(1/4) - x] dx (limits 0 to 1)
A = [4/5 x^(5/4) - x²/2] (limits 0 to 1)
A = 0.3
Thus the area between these curves is 0.3
