My car squeaks when I drive when it's first started up?

So I have an old car (2004 Chevy Malibu to be specific) that I bought off of a friend. He took it in to get inspected before I bought it off of him, and the guy that inspected it gave it a clean bill of health. But now that it's colder, it's developed a squeak that only seems to happen when I first start it up and start driving. Once it's been out for a minute or two, the squeaking subsides. But it's kind of weird... Am I being too paranoid about it? This is my first car lol. It only seems to happen when I have to break, if that helps any.

Yep, the belt driving the alternator is likely slipping. It does this most immediately after starting when the alternator is working at its hardest to recharge the battery. I d replace it, they're cheap enough, and then you know where you are.

very often that's caused by a weak auto belt tensioner. Read this post to see how to check it.
